We challenged ourselves to organize skincare information and make it easy to evaluate a product by what truly matters: the ingredients.

We sought out to solve the problem, and here we are.

• We work with dermatologists and chemists to decode skincare products and help you make skincare decisions on effective, evidence-based formulas.

• We translate the longggg chemical words to tell you exactly what a product contains – from silicones to marine pollutants – and help you make a personal call on what matters to you.

• And we make skincare democratic, providing a space where you (and other skincare enthusiasts!) can share and learn from skincare routines.

We’re just getting started – let’s make skincare transparency the new normal. If you have any feedback for us, just holler. We’re a friendly bunch and would love to chat.

– Alyssa & Sunny
Skincare, after all, should be evaluated not by the fluff – like how many influencers review it or how pretty the millennial pink packaging is – but by effective and evidence-based ingredient lists.
Our journey started with a simple question: why is skincare so darn overwhelming? At the time, we were both working at Google, playing our respective parts to organize the world’s information.

But one day our conversation ventured into skincare, and we found ourselves pondering the question after a shared distaste for wasting a little too much time scrolling through top 10 lists, countless anonymous reviews, and marketing hype jobs. (Sound familiar?)

Skincare Transparency:
That’s what we’re about.
