Skincare....what's that...?! Last thing on my mind these days, honestly :(

I've gotten rid of my notion of AM/PM routines, since I'm at home all day most days. Usually, I have one big routine in the evening, and I just spritz my skin with rosewater in the morning before pressing in a few drops of oil. My skin is loving the no make-up phase.

I'm using a lot more actives. Used to use them 2x a week, but I've upped to 4x. I notice my skin is a lot clearer and I have less rough patches. So far, it's been good πŸ™Œ

I'm actually getting MORE lazy. Things are depressing and I don't want to invest the time to do stuff. I've been bumming around and maaaybe getting a face wash in here or there. Good thing I don't rly need to wear make up anyway.

Thanks for posing the question, Julia! πŸ€—It's so important that we, now more than ever, take care of ourselves – and that includes taking care of our skin. Personally, I'm doing a couple things: 1) longer skincare routines, cuz, why not? hehe I'm getting back into layering toners (Sulwhasoo toner mist + Laneige Cream Skin + Hado Labo). 2) using more actives with confidence. I stayed away from AHA/BHA during the week because I went for runs during the day and my face was in the sun, but now that I'm exposed less, 🀷... bring it on! 3) experimenting more. I'm trying more products and using up my samples as well, and it's been...great for the most part! A few weeks ago my skin did freak out and start flaking like c.r.a.z.y, but I just stripped everything down to a face wash and good ol' moisturizer for a few days and went away. (Phew!) Staying home has made me more experimental with my skincare, though!

I'm making sure to drink more water, since I'm moving less and I don't carry around my water bottle around with me like I do at work. I'm also using more soothing products generally, using multiple toners and all that good stuff which usually takes up more time! πŸ’“

I'm also definitely taking more time to take care of myself... simply because I have more of it! I've amassed a pretty impressive stash of face mask samples from Kiehl's over time, so I've been going through those almost every night (usually as I watch an episode of a TV show). It's become a de-stressing routine for me. Totally reminds me of that scene in 13 going on 30 where Jennifer Garner watches TV with a face mask and cheetos lol. It me!

Personally, I have a lot more time at home thanks to work from home – so my morning routine is pretty much non-existent since I no longer put on make-up. I'll pat on some face oil in the morning and that's it! At night, I'll do my usual night-time routine but also add masking almost every night... it used to be a timebound luxury πŸ˜… but now it's just a part of my routine πŸ™Œ. My skin is a lot happier too because of less sun exposure & make-up – so I've been able to double down on stronger AHAs and BHAs. Wondering if I should introduce retinoid at this time so my skin freaks out less. Trying to find the bright side and silver lining to take care of myself in spite of everything going on in the world. Stay safe everyone βœ¨πŸ’“
