  • Olay-Total Effects Revitalizing Foaming Cleanser

I've been using Olay on my face, well, I can't remember a time it wasn't part of my routine. Perhaps it's out of sentimental reasons, but I actually find Olay to be a great drugstore option. Right now I'm finishing up this cleanser.

Estee Lauder beauty counters... can't walk away from them empty-handed. I was intrigued by their take on the Asian toners, and I quite like this. It is definitely hydrating and I can tell a difference when I use it vs. when I don't.

This is a great eye serum, got it as a recommendation from a co-worker who always looks so awake. She does get her 8 hours of sleep, but also pointed me toward this eye serum. I love that it isn't too creamy – I don't have to rub it in forever to sink in, it just does effortlessly.
  • L'Occitane-Immortelle Reset Overnight Reset Oil-In Serum
    STEP
    4
This is a really interesting oil in serum product which feels slightly thicker than a typical serum. I like that it has a great blend of antioxidants and seems to calm down my skin at the end of the day.
  • Neutrogena-Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Moisturizer
    STEP

This is where my retinol comes in. I started using this cream on a business trip, actually, when I ran out of my last one. I grabbed it from a Walgreens in NYC, I think. It's definitely surprised me though – it is gentle and glides onto my skin very well. And I feel it's properly hydrating as well.

indeed, this is a respectable mix of low and high brow skincare.

Hehe thanks. 😂 What's a girl on a budget to do?

Oh you use the micro essence! How does it compare to other FTE (fermented treatment essences) like Missha and SK-II? I think primera has a nice one too!

Yes, I've tried the Missha one -- and actually value-wise, I do like the Missha FTE better! However, I do feel like the Estee Lauder is more refreshing and personally, it just feels a bit more chic on my vanity table. 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

A very interesting mix of high and low brands! 👏👏 I haven't used Neutrogena in a while, probably since high school – cool to see you like their products still! ❣️

haha, yeah i didn't think i would like the neutrogena cream too much...but i do! there are definitely gems to be found in the drugstore aisles for sure :) it's just a shame that it has to be such a trial and error situation... 😢
