STEP
1
Cleanser
bioderma sensibio h2o
I wet a cotton swab with this cleansing water and use it to take off my make-up. I've found that this is a really soothing first step, and it works better than using cleansing oils, which I'm afraid will feed my fungal acne.
STEP
2
Cleanser
purito defense barrier ph cleanser
I then follow up with this foam cleanser. It's from Purito, a Korean brand that I found out about through my Korean college roommate, haha. She returned one summer with their products... we shared a bathroom... and the rest is history. I've repurchased this cleanser a few times since it's never caused me any troubles!
STEP
3
Toner
hado labo gokujyun premium hyaluronic acid lotion
After cleansing my face, this is the first thing that use. When my face is still a bit wet, I'll apply this all over my face and neck. The consistency is a bit thicker than your average toner, like almost syrup(?)-y, but my face drinks this up thanks to the 5 different types of Hyaluronic Acid. This is also honestly so economical, it lasts me legit half a year!
I would say this has been one of my game changers in terms dealing with acne. Niacinamide helps reduce blemishes and congestion, while zinc works to balance sebum activity. Overall, I find that my acne scars are healing faster thanks to this serum, too.
STEP
5
Moisturizer
sebamed clear face care gel
So a lot of moisturizers break me out, thanks to irritants and essential oils and lots of other unnecessary ingredients. I found out about this moisturizer on Reddit and took a chance on a random recommendation – and haven't gone without it for at least a couple years now! It's simple and I wear it alone in the summer, and mixed with squalane in the wintertime. Honestly I'll probably try my hand at another moisturizer again – but will always have this as my primary back-up.
STEP
6
Face Oil
biossance 100% squalane oil
This is the squalane oil I use at the end of my routine. I either press it into my skin after my moisturizer or sometimes mix it in with my moisturizer if I want an extra boost of hydration.
