  • The Ordinary-Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
    What I liked
I love how this serum affects my skin when I use it consistently. It does help with my acne and hyperpigmentation when I use it In conjunction with other products.
    What I disliked
I wish it came in a larger option like the HA. Also, I usually use nia in the AM, but that means that I can’t use vitamin C because they cause an adverse reaction. So I have to alternate C and N in the AM since I like to use retinols at night alternatively.

This is great! Niacinamide is one of the most effective ingredients, imo.

What else do you use for your acne and hyperpigmentation? 👀

In addition to nia, I am a big believer in chemical exfoliants, vitamin Cs, and hyaluronic acids for acne. I also wear sunscreen to stave off the darkening for hyperpigmentation.

I really should! I will be sure to do that. I do that on my IG, too: @theMelaninBeautyArchive. I am trying to finish products from the Sephora gift sets so I am using the Sunday Riley CEO vitamin C. The HAs from the Ordinary and Hadalabo are staples in my routine now. In regard to chemical exfoliants, I use the Ordinary Glycolic toner and AHA Peeling Solution, Tatcha rice polish, FAB pads, etc., it really just depends. (I am a product junkie.) I try to just not exfoliant more than twice a week, though.

Thank you! There's sooo many products out there, so it's hard to know what exactly works vs. isn't worth it. I'll definitely be sure to check out your IG, too! :)
