I wear a full face of highly pigmented long-lasting makeup everyday so when I need to take the day off, or start my day fresh, I need something that will latch onto all of the dirt and makeup that's on my face and melt it all away. That's exactly what this does! Cleansing oils have been used in East Asian cultures for centuries to remove heavy base makeup which is why I've always turned to Korean beauty favourite Innisfree for my favourite oily skin cleansing oil. It's gentle and gets the job done.

I have tried ALL OIL BALANCING FACE WASHES OUT THERE, and guess what? They all leave your skin feeling like the Sahara desert - stripped of any moisture at all, or like your face is still greasy like a bucket of fried chicken and hasn't taken off any of the oil you needed it to. Enter my favourite drugstore find of 2017! This face wash has small little beads that gently exfoliate and break down as you work the product into your skin - helping to remove some dead skin cells too.The witch hazel in the product also frequently used in toners for oily skin so it's got some good ingredients in there too. I've repurchased this many many times and I've got so many of my friends hooked on it too!

I'm all about removing any dead skin cells on the surface of my skin that may clog my pores and make me appear more oily. I actually see my face get brighter with each use!
  • Neutrogena-Hydro Boost Water Gel

As an #oilyskingirl I am a sucker for water-based moisturisers that contain hyaluronic acid. Even though there are many water-gel based hyaluronic acid moisturisers out there, I can pick this up at any Walgreens, Target, Guardian or Watsons whenever I need to restock on my moisturisers. P.S. it's also affordable for us college students on a budget. I cannot recommend the Neutrogena hydro boost line enough to all of my fellow oily and combination skin ladies out there!

I've been noticing the beginnings of fine lines around my eyes so I thought it was time to invest in an eye cream. Since I'm such a fan of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost line, I thought why not give it a try - and I liked it! I'm still open to trying out any new eye creams though.

While not strictly a part of my skincare routine, this is the last thing I add after my moisturiser sinks in, to make sure that when I go out bare faced, I'm still keeping my skin hydrated and matte!

Here's a tip from a former Sephora Beauty Advisor - these masks are super affordable, cute and they actually keep you hydrated! These are always the ones I bring to a girl's night in. I'm always a sucker for the Green tea and Marine Algae masks because they're moisturising but not too rich for my skin. Would recommend!

how often do you use the pixi glow tonic?

Probably every other day because I have other exfoliants in my routine that I'll occasionally throw in and I don't want to make it too sensitive but I believe it's mild enough for daily use!

Benefit matte face gel sounds new to me. Very curious how it would work for my skin. Does it work like primer?

It is! I recommend using it as a primer especially on your T-zone areas if you have combo/oily skin. Try out a sample if you get a chance!
