  • Burt's Bees -Cleansing Oil
    STEP
    1
    burt's bees cleansing oil
Like any liquid oil, application can be messier than a balm, but this one emulsifies very well and really does get rid of makeup. It does feel hydrating, and may work better for drier skin.
  • Cetaphil-Gentle Foaming Cleanser
    STEP
    2
    cetaphil gentle foaming cleanser
This is a very gentle, basic cleanser that doesn't strip my skin and works pretty well as both a morning cleanser and after oil cleansing. Sometimes I'm not sure if it cleans quite *enough* on the days when I'm super grimy, but overall I do like it.

I LOVE the Good Genes. I notice a distinct brightness to my skin the morning after use, and it works while not feeling too harsh on my skin. I feel my moisturizers go on smoother the next morning with this product. A lot of people complain about the smell, but I like it.

When I'm not using the Good Genes, I use this. This acid does feel a bit harsher, and depending on the day, I get a bit more tingling/stinging, but this soon dissipates. I don't mind the sensation, but it may bother some more sensitive types. I feel like this one is a more effective resurfacer than the Good Genes, while the Good Genes is more brightening and plumping. Both of these have their place in my routine!
  • Sunday Riley-Luna Sleeping Night Oil

I LOVE the way this oil feels on my skin. It feels luxurious, soothing, doesn't break my skin out, and I do notice my skin feels much better in the morning when I wake up. I don't use it on my delicate undereye skin, which is where my wrinkles mainly reside, so I can't directly speak to how effective its anti-aging properties are. I got this as part of the Power Couple kit and enjoy using it every night. I may try a prescription strength retinoid at some point if I can get to a derm, so this one may eventually be phased out if that's the case. If not, I'll likely keep using it, though I may "cheat" and try other night oils to see if I like them. For a first time night oil experience, two thumbs up from me!

I am extremely milia prone, so most thick or creamy eye creams are out for me. I purchased this on a recommendation and found it does not cause me any milia and feels great under the eye area. I've only been using it about a month, and haven't noticed any "results," per se, but I also have super bad undereye wrinkles so I'm not sure anything short of fillers will help. It is gentle and hydrating, though.
  • Cerave-Pm Facial Moisturizing Lotion

Cheap, feels great, and absolutely hydrates my skin. Non-irritating and a great evening workhorse of a lotion. For super dry types it might not be enough, but it's great for me. For comparison, I tried the Lala Retro cream from Drunk Elephant and found that one waaaay too heavy. Besides, I love me some ceramides. For this price point, I can't go wrong with this one.
