  • Tatcha-Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser
    What I liked
This cleansing oil is made with camellia oil (Tsubaki) to which I later found out is an ingredient that Japanese women love and some even swear by in all their beauty products. I use this oil as my first cleansing step in my double cleanse routine. It rinses off nicely without too much of a residue. This product definitely makes me feel like I’m using a luxury beauty item from the packaging to the texture. I love this product and I have repurchased it a few times.
    What I disliked
The bottle is really pretty, but sometimes it’s a little bulky to travel with.
    Special Tips
Make sure you apply it to a dry face.

I wonder if there's a dupe of this oil cleanser! I've literally only seen Tatcha cleanser that has camellia oil in it...

Oooh great question! In Japan camellia oil is used a lot in hair care products, but I never really paid attention finding facial oils with it. I’m currently trying out so many other popular oil cleansers in japan (DHC, fancl, Le cheri...) so far I do not think these have camellia oil in them. I will definitely post if I see one!

Ugh, this one is SO good! But also such a splurge for my poor wallet 😂

I know what you mean! I too think it’s a little pricey which is why I still love the DHC cleansing oil. It’s really popular in japan and does a great job of removing makeup and sunscreen, but don’t expect any bells and whistles from packaging.
