STEP
1
Oil Cleanser
albolene moisturizing cleanser
This uses mineral oil to break down sunscreen, oils, dirt, etc. Mineral oil is rated as 0 on the comedogenic scale! It's not necessarily a "luxurious" feeling on the skin, but it does the job well.
STEP
2
Cleanser
avène extremely gentle cleanser lotion
I was skeptical that this would be effective in removing my oil cleanser, but it works beautifully! My skin is so damaged, the most gentle pH balanced cleansers out there sting on me. This one doesn't and it still leaves me feeling clean and hydrated.
STEP
3
Toner
avène thermal spring water
I use this in place of a toner. It's just water, technically, but it's supposed to be packed full of soothing and hydrating minerals. I spray it on, pat in, and proceed to the next step while my skin is still damp.
STEP
4
Serum
kravebeauty great barrier relief
Amazing product, amazing brand. Does exactly what it claims to do.
STEP
5
Moisturizer
avène skin recovery cream
This product is so cool. It is formulated without preservatives, which I usually have no problem with. But they can be irritating for seriously damaged skin like mine. The manufacturing facility (Sterile Cosmetics) is completely sterile, and the packaging is airtight, which makes it safe to use.

Face Oil
now solutions 100% jojoba oil
I like to lock in my moisturizer with a nice layer of jojoba oil at night. I see results overnight in dryness and sensitivity. It has been found to be one of the most similar substances found in nature to the sebum your skin naturally produces. It does have a comedogenic rating of 2, but it has never caused an issue on my skin personally.
Hey! So the peel wasn't necessarily too strong, but I didn't realize how damaged my skin barrier already was when I was using it. I definitely plan on going back to it after my skin is healed, but for now, I'm being super gentle. Sometimes less is more!
