1. chemical exfoliaton
2. getting to the root cause of acne. for me, i had a lot of dandruff which was causing acne.
3. double cleansing at night. earlier i would just use a cleanser to take my makeup off. now I use micellar water to take it off and then go ahead with a cleanser.
i dont know how medically relevant this is, but for me i have noticed whenever i get dandruff, i get a lot of forehead acne. my guess is the dandruff was clogging pores on my forehead
- Wash pillowcase often
- Eat more veggies and greens
- Cut OUT sugar (this was super hard for meðŸ˜)
- Get good sleep (more tired = more stress to the skin)
Proper double cleansing & eating less sugar for sure! Ohh and washing my make-up brushes lol. Also, when I got really desperate I drank a glass of water as soon as I woke up, and I swear it helped!
I think diet can definitely help! Eat clean, drink lots of water, get in healthy exercise and be consistent with skincare routine. Sometimes it does really start from the inside.
Personally, I used less products and my skin cleared up. I think using too many products at once isn't good for skin either. I literally washed my face, applied moisturizer and that's it. Fast forward three weeks and a lot of my acne calmed down a ton!!
Like a lot of ppl have said, water is important. Hydrate yourself! Otherwise, don't use skincare with irritating products and make sure to exfoliate your skin to remove build ups.
