I really enjoy following dermatologists on IG lately. It's a relatively new thing, but I think with more time on their hands, they have been very generous with their skincare knowledge and advice. A good thing for us!
I like watching Susan Yara and James Welsh! But I don't put too much stock on their POV for the most part, just fun entertainment / helps me discover new products :)
I would say myself too. Seeing the change that my skin is capable of has been amazing to say the least. ❤️ I think in this day and age, doing research on your own on what your skin needs is the best–the tools and info are a plenty! I like looking to others for inspiration, but ultimately I make skincare choices based on my own skin.
Love this question ❣️
Mine skincare mentor is my grandma. She lives in the countryside of Korea and has tended to the family farm all her life, ever since getting married to my grandpa 50+ years ago. This means going in the scorching sun many days of the year, spending hours in the sun doing labor. She instilled in me the importance of sunscreen (don't forget the backs of your hands!) and using a face mask when your skin needs the extra love. But most importantly her work ethic taught me the importance of consistency, which I've applied to not only my approach to skincare, but other areas of my life as well.
