I needed to upgrade to a two-step cleansing routine due to my water-resistant sunscreen, which wasn't washing off when I switched to a gentler cleanser (Cerave Hydrating). This was available on Amazon Canada, and the ingredients were inoffensive. I'm still in the search for something better/up to my speed, but this was a good, safe choice in the meantime.

It takes some getting used to, not feeling like your skin is "squeaky clean", but I had to understand that moving to a place with dry weather meant my skin wasn't as oily or tolerant to cleansers as it was before. Stronger cleansers were now stripping my skin, leaving it red an irritated. This is the only cleanser that does not disrupt my barrier in the Canadian winter.

My favorite things about this product are the packaging, branding, and dispenser. Wow, the dispenser. I also like how the product looked. It performs almost as well as a personal favorite, Neutrogena Hydroboost for Extra Dry Skin (the extra dry skin formula doesn't have fragrance), but not quite as well. I think I'm going back to Neutrogena after this tub, and emptying the contents into this dispenser!! Alternatively, I might try the Indeed Labs Hydraluron Serum instead.

I was going to give this product 4 stars because I feel like the consistency is a little too thick, but then I realized that the thickness of this product is exactly what makes it such a hydration and protection bomb for the skin. To ask this product to be less thick but to hydrate and protect just as much is like asking water to be just as hydrating and healthy but without being so wet.

Your cleansing duo is definitely not offensive, in fact they're the ideal duo in my opinion! Cleansing really doesn't need to be complicated 😊
