Rosewater Facial Toner

So I have oily combo acne prone skin and I LOVED this at first. There are lot of hydrating elements on such a short ingredients list so I never thought it could ever be irritating. So when my skin became inflamed after using this for a month, I never put 2 and 2 together. It was horrible, red, dry, itchy with welts and every type of pimple known to man. 

I experimented a lot trying to fix it but eventually realized that I was using products with essential oils and they were sensitizing my skin. This product does not contain true rosewater, it's pure water mixed with rose essential oil!!! Your skin can be fine in the beginning but continued use can change your skin PERMANENTLY and make it react to ingredients it used to be fine with. 

I cut this out, and everything except for one product stopped stinging upon application. It stung again when I used the ELF supermask, which has lavender essential oil. So I know for sure that essential oils were the problem. Apparently it's not super common for people to be sensitive to fragrance, and I know I wasn't until I started using essential oils specifically, but now I have to avoid artificial and natural fragrance. They're everywhere though! 

So it's a pain and I wish I never did this to my skin in the first place. I know this product is becoming popular from skincare twitter, but I'm here to tell you it's not worth the risk of sensitizing your skin!

Can sensitize the skin!!!

I have very a combination skin type that is also acne prone and believe it or not this toner has helped me breakout less and works wonders for acne scaring. I genuinely can't live without this product!

This stuff actually works!

i apply this when my skin is still somewhat wet, and it's been great so far. soothes my skin and it makes it feel hydrated.
